The Samuel Harrison Society (SHS) participated in the Westside Legends Annual Neighborhood Summer Block Party. Starting around 1pm, the SHS introduced the Massachusetts 54th Reenactors. The Reenactors held a ceremony. Members of the SHS read names of the soldiers who were mustered into the Regiment from Pittsfield. The full list of the names of the men who were mustered into the 54th from Berkshire County is provided here. In addition, the 54th Reenactors setup a Civil War Regiment camp so that visitors could get a look at life as a Civil War soldier.
